Whether you're a driver or a pedestrian, you're bound to have come across a few examples of shocking parking in your time. Bad parking is all too commonplace, we think, and it's time someone did something about it!<\/p>\n

We're calling this campaign #parkbetter and we're highlighting the good as well as the lame efforts.<\/p>\n

The trouble with bad parking is, it's not just embarrassing\u2013 it's also inconsiderate to other drivers, and often dangerous. But we have to admit, it's often pretty funny to watch…<\/p>\n

Over the coming weeks, HIDS4U will be offering advice and tips for unconfident parkers \u2013 but first, here are a few examples of how not to park!<\/p>\n

Parallel parking<\/h2>\n

Parallel parking is a technique which most drivers have to demonstrate successfully on their test, so you'd think people would be a little more adept at it.<\/p>\n

But it seems some people just can't get the hang of the technique, and end up spending quite a while trying to park their vehicles. This hapless individual, caught on camera by students in Belfast, spent half an hour trying to get her car into a parking space. We can at least commend her determination!<\/p>\n
