Ford vehicles have always been very popluar with upgrading to HID with the fitting being very straight foward on most of the Ford range. The majority of the earlier Fords use H4 bulbs so require the H4 bixenon upgrade to do both high and dipped beam applications. The newer Fords often use H7 bulbs therefore use the H7 HID conversion kit upgrades.

Pre 2005 Ford including Escort, Fiesta, Focus, Mondeo, Transit

Ford vehicles pre 2005 are straight forward conversions to HID. On the whole the access to the light units is good. Also the ECU system on the earlier Ford's do not conflict with standard HID kits. It is for this reason we would recommend the Pro range of our HID conversion kits for these vehicles. These include the HIDS4U Pro Plus HID kit and the HIDS4U Pro Max HID kit. You should expect with the Pro Plus HID system to see an increase by around 300% from your Ford standard headlights. With the Pro Max HID system you should expect to see an increase of about 400%

Post 2005 Ford including Escort, Fiesta, Focus, Mondeo, Transit

The more modern Ford vehicles are still on the whole easy to upgrade to HID. However they are being fitted with more advanced ECU systems that can cause conflicts with standard HID kits. This causes the onboard ECU to think the bulbs have failed and to report errors. Our Ultimate HID Kit has been specially designed to overcome these issues and is available as a plug and play system. For all the modern Ford cars we recommend using the Ultimate HID kit to ensure complete compatibility.
