BMW cars are one of the more advanced cars within the marketplace. Even from the late 90's, the BMW ECU systems have been advanced enough to cause conflicts with the standard HID conversion kits. It is for this reason that HIDS4U has created a simple plug and play HID kit called the Ultimate HID kit for use most BMW vehicles.

Early BMW's including 5 Series E34, 3 Series E36, 7 Series

For most of the early BMW's up to the mid to late 90's, the ECU systems installed on these vehicles are not advanced enough to cause any problems with standard HID conversion kits. It is for this reason we would recommend the Pro range of our HID conversion kits for these vehicles. These include the HIDS4U Pro Plus HID kit and the HIDS4U Pro Max HID kit. You should expect with the Pro Plus HID system to see an increase by around 300% from your BMW standard headlights. With the Pro Max HID system you should expect to see an increase of about 400%

Modern BMW including 1 Series, 3 Series E46, E90, 5 Series E39, E60, 7 Series

For the more modern BMW's , you will need the more advanced Ultimate HID Conversion kit. This kit is specifically designed by HIDS4U and exclusive to us. It is a straight plug and play system that will communicate in the right way with your ECU to ensure no warning lights or conflicts with the ECU are triggered. However, the BMW 1 Series and E90 3 Series vehicles have gone that extra step further. These vehicles caused even further problems in getting a workable HID conversion solution. HIDS4U were once again the first company to overcome this issue with a simple plug and play solution. We our specialised additional harness and our unique Ultimate conversion kit, we are the only company (at time of writing) to have solved this BMW specific problem.
